To consider

Railay Princess Resort & Spa offers a transfer service from Krabi International Airport at an additional charge. Guests are kindly requested to inform the property in advance if they wish to make use of this service. Contact details can be found on the booking confirmation.

The resort can only be accessed by a long-tail boat. From Krabi Airport, guests will have to take a taxi to Ao Nam Mao Pier or Aonang Beach to catch a boat to Railay Beach. The resort is located next to the Railay Pier.

Please note that the name of the guest on booking confirmation must be the same name as the credit card holder. Guest must present the same credit card used to guarantee the booking when checking in or making payment at the hotel. The hotel will collect a new payment if guests fail to present their credit card upon check-in.

Room rates on 24 December 2023 include compulsory Christmas Eve’s gala dinner. Extra people will be additionally charged by the hotel. and Room rates on 31 December 2023 include compulsory New Year’s Eve gala dinner. Extra people will be additionally charged by the hotel.

be cautious before booking this

overall a very worn out hotel and you’ll have high chance seeing something not working well . we have got a room assigned on day 1 . but it was located in a smelly building , with lights not working , weak wifi and almost non-existent aircon . went to the reception for complaining and finally got a better one . during that discussion , the reception lady who was talking to me suddenly jumped on another call and didn’t feel bad about letting me wait there for more than 15 min. the door of the bathroom in the second room keeps squeaking . and we had to let staff fix it .

overall a very worn out hotel and you’ll have high chance seeing something not working well . Staff were ok but not as good as other ones I’ve met at other hotels

Lovely hotel with a few shortcomings.

The hotel was in a good location, close to the pier, and only a short walk to the beach on the west side of Railay. The pools were nice and open until late so you can watch the stars at night and relax. The room was large and cleaned regularly. Staff were very helpful.

There was a bad smell in the room whenever I turned on the taps in the bath. The shower was fine, but I couldn't use the bath as it left a smell of sewage in the room. The condition of the bathroom was generally very bad with old, worn out fixtures. Monkeys were a constant nuisance.

Not bad!

Monkeys, swimming pools, garden, staff.

I didn't have a chance to eat breakfast because all the food trays were empty (I came down for breakfast at 8 am both mornings). The hotel was pretty busy that weekend, but in my opinion, they should have prepared more food for so many people. It was difficult to find an empty or clean table for 1 person (I ended up only with a coffee and a piece of fruit), there was no staff to ask for help or information regarding food supply, so I think Princess resort could improve on that in the future. :) The large swimming pool in the garden should have more lighting around at night time as I nearly got injured (twice), haha i know I should have been more careful, but in just to prevent accidents from happening I think they should install some extra lights in/around that pool. :)

Great hotel to enjoy the beautiful Railway Beach

The villa was huge and great with a private place to stay. The jacuzzi outside is amazing and very pleasant. The beds are very comfortable.

The breakfast was not good. For this price paid, we had juice from concentrated. We had very few choices of meals and not very appealing. Also, the restaurant closed at 5.30.

Good base to explore Railay

Comfortable room with nice balcony, close to nature and monkeys. Good breakfast on the beach at the partner hotel. Friendly staff.

Unmatched poolside view of beach

I stayed during the COVID restriction time that Thailand has not been open to outside visitors. The Princess hotel was not open, so we stayed at the sister resort Railay Bay. I was very happy with the staff who gave us a room equivalent to the price that we paid for Princess. The staff also ensured that all of our requests and needs were met although they were clearly working in a more conservative mode than normal. Even though the usual breakfast that we expected form Princess did not have all the same items, the staff kindly still made us omelets that were not on the actual buffet.

I don't really have much to say in complaint. I felt like the staff worked hard to make our stay enjoyable. Some of the usual amenities were missing. We had to request hand towels which they brought right away. Usually we enjoy robes and slippers as well, but I can understand why they wouldn't put these in every room while having fewer customers at this time.

Doing OK in covid times

Staff at the reception were very good, as were housekeeping and maintenance - very friendly and and welcoming. The hotel is a really great choice for Railay; good sized rooms, lovely pool, great location and they offer a transfer service for a small extra fee. Overall, I would stay again but check in advance what the breakfast situation is and opt out of it is in the sister hotel.

Although I understand completely it is covid times, we were not told in advance that the hotel was not doing breakfast and that we would have to go to their sister hotel, about a 7 minute walk away. The breakfast we did receive at the other hotel was the same every day: white bread, fried egg, fried rice, chicken sausage and one fruit. I do think there were enough guests to warrant a little more choice (it was reasonably busy). On our last day, the hotel brought out an order menu but insisted we pay more for that as we were not guests at that location. We refused and were reluctantly allowed some pancakes. Staff in the restaurant were pretty rude and obnoxious throughout our stay.

Good value for money. Confortable beds. Very quiet.

Misleading information on Booking.com about location as it is not very clear how to each the hotel. It should not mention parking available but clearly that all hotels on Railay cannot be reach by car. Mangroves in front of the hotel, not a Beach although the west bay is easily available. Likewise, due to Covid-19, the breakfast was served at the sister property.

Loved it!

The roof top infinity pool is amazing and big bath tub in the room we really enjoyed. Even although the hotel is on the beach with the pier so its not good for swimming in the sea, it is only a 5 mins walk to the other side and other beach so don't let that put you off.
